What we are looking for:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Scheduling Engineer to develop, manage, and maintain project schedules across multiple construction projects. This role works closely with preconstruction managers, project executives, project managers, superintendents, and other stakeholders to ensure timelines are realistic, achievable, and aligned with company goals.

The Scheduling Engineer is a key partner in monitoring progress, identifying potential delays, and providing proactive solutions to keep projects on track. This position requires strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.

Position Summary:

  • Develop, update, and maintain high-level pursuit and bid submittal schedules, as well as detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Collaborate with preconstruction and operations teams to develop baseline and GMP schedules.
  • Lead interactive planning sessions and schedule review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage Primavera P6 enterprise project structure, archiving schedule layouts for consistency in deliverables.
  • Perform schedule analysis, including "what-if" scenarios, impact assessments, and delay analyses.
  • Provide training and mentorship on scheduling best practices to project managers and engineers.
  • Support project teams with schedule updates, change integration, and recovery plans.
  • Generate high-quality reports such as look-ahead schedules, critical path analyses, and earned value assessments.

The following skills are necessary:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of construction scheduling experience with a general contractor.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Expertise in Primavera P6 and deep understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and sequencing.
  • Strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Experience with schedule delay analysis; experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) is a plus.

Primary Location: Columbus or Bellefontaine, Ohio

Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President.
